Joe Hair founded Health-Tech Consulting twelve years ago to provide in-depth, hands-on assistance to oncology practices implementing an electronic medical records system. From the beginning, Health-Tech has taken pride in implementing EMRs the right way - increasing operational efficiency, improving patient safety, boosting charge capture, and collecting meaningful data that will improve practice operations.
Since that time, Health-Tech has continued to evolve to meet the changing needs of oncology practices. As practices have shifted from initial EMR implementation to ongoing improvement, we have worked with them to manage hospital mergers, implement Meaningful Use, transition to ICD-10, comply with MIPS/MACRA, and continue refining processes for increased efficiency and compliance. Joe continues to focus on making Health-Tech the premier provider of technology consulting services for oncology and manages all of our technical projects, including interface development, IT infrastructure, and custom application and report development.
Before founding Health-Tech Consulting, Joe worked for Deloitte & Touche and spent eight years consulting with numerous public and private entities. He managed large and small teams working with a variety of industries and technologies.
Ali Fugaro, PA-C has been working in the medical field for the past sixteen years and the oncology field for the past eleven. After working with Varian’s ARIA software at Northwest Georgia Oncology Centers, she left to pursue a career helping other practices convert to electronic medical records.
After nine years with Health-Tech, she has become an expert in numerous areas, including process, training, Meaningful Use, and ICD-10. She has gained experience with the clinical, operational, and billing areas within an oncology office and has firsthand experience working as an oncology PA both before and after becoming a consultant. Her blend of skills, experience, and can-do attitude make her ideal to lead our consulting projects.
Julia Irwin, BSN, RN, OCN has been working in the oncology nursing field for the past fifteen years, in inpatient and outpatient settings, with patient-facing and management responsibilities. She is a strong leader who enjoys spearheading change, working with technology, and helping others. After working with Health-Tech Consulting to implement ARIA for 50 physicians at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Julia decided to leave and pursue a career with us. She has worked with Varian ARIA, EpicCare, and Cerner Powerchart, and has a deep understanding of the process and technology requirements to implement electronic medical record systems in a hospital environment.
